Submitted by: Mary O, Red Spotted Newt Class 1997 There is a great new German restaurant in Hooksett New Hampshire.  It's called "Bavaria" and is located 1-mile north of Hooksett Village Shops (Shaw's Supermarket) in the Granite Hill Plaza on Hooksett Road (Rte 3). The entrance is in rear of Granite Hill Business Center and is a little hard to find, but very worth the effort.
I have been there twice and enjoyed the food very much.  They serve authentic Bavarian food all cooked to order. Last night I had Rinderroulade, a rolled slice of tender beef, filled with mustard, onions, bacon and pickles, braised in its own juice and served with homemade mashed potatoes and red cabbage, which was absolutely delicious. Their desserts are wonderful (big enough to share).  I had apple strudel last night and it was really yummy.
The atmosphere is very pleasant too.  "Bavaria" is definitely worth the trip to Hooksett.  I would recommend reservations on the weekend.
